Georges Pahud was born and educated in Lausanne, Switzerland. He moved to Vancouver in 1968 and, after a few years in the general insurance business, entered the Real Estate profession in 1973. Georges was a salesman with Wallace and MacKay until 1976 when he acquired Sasamat Realty Ltd., a company he owned and operated until 1983. He returned to sales for one year with Royal Lepage Real Estate Services. In 1984 he was hired as a manager by Montreal Trust Company and opened their Kerrisdale real estate office which he managed until 1988. In May of 1988, Georges started Sussex Group - Kerrisdale Realty that subsequently changed its name to Prudential United Realty when the company merged with United Realty Ltd. and joined Prudential Real Estate Affiliates. He sold his interest in the Company in May 2008. He remains licensed as an Associate Broker under the Real Estate Services Act in the Vancouver office of Prudential United Realty.   Georges has been very active in organized real estate and is currently serving as Vice Chair of the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA) and Immediate Past President of the Canadian Real Estate Association. At various times he has served on the Business Practices Committee, Business Practices Appeals Committee, Property Management Committee and Brokers Task force of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, as well as the Arbitration Committees of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver and the British Columbia Real Estate Association.  Georges is a Past President of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver and a former Director of the British Columbia Real Estate Association and of the Vancouver Executives Association.
